My Glass Mosaics and How To Guide

Everyone is doing the little glass mosaic tiles, and they are gorgeous! I got a little more creative and did something that is all me!

I created mosaic art in my bathrooms using glass pieces, stones, shells,.... They came out really pretty. I tell you all about how I did it on this page and show you my pics.

What do you think about the new low VOC paint? anyone try it?

I've used it but can't recall what brand. I thought it was good, not watery like I feared. I'm a Ben Moore kind of gal but I do stray depending on how much paint I need to buy and if the budget is an issue. Ben Moore can be pricey.

I sometimes use their color swatches and have the nice paint guy at the big box store mix up the color from the swatch using a different brand paint.

Easy Tiling I love to tile, and love the clean look! How about you? Ever try your hand at it? Have anything we can help you with. Help me motivate visitors to be creative with tile in their homes. There's a gorgeous place in Guilford CT called Village Francais that just makes my heart skip a beat whenever I visit. And although I haven't been yet the Furniture Barn And Manor House in Cheshire Ct I've heard is stunning! It's on my to do list!

Favorite Lighting Stores And what are your fav lighting stores. Where would you go to buy a lamp? Lamps and lighting can be jewelry for a room. I just love going to lighting stores and looking at all the beautiful lights. Anyone feel the same kind of rush? The Home Depot, Lowes, and Ikea have great lighting departments and they're so budget friendly. There are also a few online lighting stores I've found that make it so easy to purchase good lighting. Faux Painting This isn't about sponge painting, it's about transforming furniture with paint by making it look like wood.

This technique could work really well on wood beams and doors. Can you think of something else that could use a wood look painting technique?

Anyone doing faux painting these days? It's not as big as it once was but with the Damask wallpaper that is so in now I'm sure the less expensive stenciling wall patterns will be just as hot and bring back the faux techniques. But please, no more sponge painting!

How To Window Treatments EVERYBODY needs help with their window treatments! Even me!

I'm actually rethinking my living room drapes because I moved my furniture around and now they don't work. I like so many options! I'm having a heck of a hard time making a decision!

Sound familiar, maybe I'll send some pics and let my readers help me out. You can do the same. That's what this interior decorating forum is for!

What are your favorite style window treatments. Pinch pleats are so in right now. Do you prefer custom window treatments, do it yourself widow treatments? Any recommendations for stores for windows, blinds, shades, curtains, draperies? All great subjects to talk about!
