Glass adds such a classy look to any space, and in the bathroom even more so. I especially love working with glass tile. It comes in so many different sizes and shapes. It can be a little pricey but here's a trick when working with expensive tile: I once purchased a gorgeous faucet from Ebay that looked like it was for a one hole sink but when I got it, it required three holes. I didn't read the description well enough, but the seller was nice enough to return it.
• Lots of water jets and rain-shower heads. I've been lucky here with The Home Depot. • Natural stone flooring and countertops-If they are not in your budget, or you just don't want to spend all that dough on a bathroom counter than do like I did and use stone tile. I used Marble 2x2's. I just Love Carrera marble (it's white with grey veins) but I didn't want to spend that on my bathroom when I still need my kitchen done. So I settled and it came out great, and I still get the look! 
• pebble tiles, subway tiles, mosaic tiles...I put subway tiles in my powder room and I created a mosaic border around them.

You can probably find a great deal on Ebay. • Over the top lighting fixtures-chandeliers,sconces... • Fine Cabinetry -I love to find antique furniture and turn it into a vanity, it ads so much character, but there are some gorgeous cabinet vanities available, and wow they are pricey, but so worth it! If your trying to cut costs on your bathroom makeovers this is definitely where to do it. Search flea markets and tag sales for pieces that can be converted into a vanity like I did in the bathroom pic above. )Use it as an accent like creating a horizontal stripe or border, or as part of a small pattern...The possibilities are endless. Just use your less expensive tile as field tiles, and waLa! Gorgeous but it didn't break the bank!
• Soaking tubs-egg shaped- Designer Sarah Richardson uses these a lot in her baths, she's on HGTV, "Sarah's House". She's the best! This is a pricey luxury. Check Ebay first.
