What wall color would go well with this bedding?Hi! So I'm re-doing my bedroom and I found this bedding at Macy's that I LOVE. But I don't know which wall color would look best. I'll put a link to it and you'll see that it's black, white, pinkish-purple, and teal/blue. I can't decide between the teal or the pinkish-purple. So which one would look better? Lisette @ Macy's My home design sense: This is tough! I'd go with the turquoise. I love blue and turquoise is a happy color. Don't match the color exactly to the color in the bed, set because it will be too dark, instead use a lighter tone of the color in the bed set and it will work nicely. What colors should I paint my room?I need 2 colors for my room, I'm thinking about one solid background color and the other for like dots/circles. My room is currently pink and I need new colors. So far my house is yellow, purple, blue, and pink. We have different shades for different rooms but I want new colors, we don't have green now but it was the color of my hallways before we changed it to purple.

My Home Design Sense: Not sure what your style is and what the room colors that are visible from your kitchen are, but going by just the two pictures you sent, I would use the colors from the table cloth in the picture as an inspiration piece. Get rid of the taupe on the walls now, it's much too drab.I like using reds/rusts, yellows/golds, or greens for a kitchen, they evoke appetite, red or green will really make your cabinets pop. Cream kitchen doors what paint?Cream shaker doors, red accessories, dark beech floor, black work tops although we might change these to a beech/walnut, what colour would be good for walls other than cream?

My Home Design Sense:green- the sage or celery family. It will bring out the red accessories because it is a compliment to red, works well with the cream and brown. Trust me!

Redecorating my living room, need some suggestions...? Right now my living room/stove room has a blue sofa and 2 blue recliners. There is also a wood pellet stove in the corner. The walls are a yellowish color and let me not forget the beige carpeting...the room drives me nuts and I must change it. I want to go with a rustic feel with the focus on the beautiful wood stove. I was thinking about putting fake rock wall behind the stove and to possibly paint a wall to look like siding of an old barn. I am looking for cheap suggestions/ideas for the furniture and walls/wall color to make the room flow and look rustic. Thanks.

My Home Design Sense:I like the faux stone idea and the barn wood. You could use 1x4 x 12' pine boards if you're handy and apply them horizontally with a nail gun and put a colored glaze on them to make them look weathered. I would rip up the carpeting and hopefully you'll find hardwood or if not put it in, or go with a laminate for less money. For furniture, Mission style works well with rustic as do painted, weathered flea market found tables and bookcases...As for art for the walls- ironwork wall art and painted country landscapes with wood frames would look nice. For the wall color- find a pillow or a rug that you love with pattern and color and take a color out of the pattern and use it for the walls. Blues and greens are cool colors where reds and golds are warm...find out more about color here Room Colors
