I Staged My Home To Make It Sell

My Master BR used to be lavender with a ceiling border, I toned it down with a tan colored paint and some bedding and accessories to match.

This now guestroom was used as a closet. Now it looks warm and inviting.

I painted the ugly brick that was on my fireplace.

I refinished this tag sale found dresser and used it as a buffet.

After a few months on the market and not a lot of activity I decided to take the interior-decorating-diva's advice and stage my home. She gave me tips on decluttering and furniture placement. She made recommendations for neutral paint colors and color scheme. She advised me to paint the old brick on my fireplace.

My home has not sold yet, but I am getting much more activity.

Recently, Annette informed me that her house has an offer to purchase. Great job on the staging, Annette and good luck!

It always pays to stage your home when trying to sell it. It's been proven that staged homes sell faster and for more money, so if you don't have the time or know how to do it yourself then hire a stager.

If doing it yourself, try to take out any emotion by removing all your personal photos and really declutter. Buyers need to envision themselves in the
space.
