Tan Silk Drapes-What Color Should I Paint My Walls?

Hi. I have had some curtains made by a UK company named Laura Ashley, they are mid tan in colour in silk. I plan to have boxed pelmets made to go with these, I have dual aspect french doors on adjacent walls where these curtains will hang. My furniture is medium oak and traditional.
Can you give me some ideas what colours I should use on the walls. I have presently a white vaulted ceiling, ideas for this would also be welcome. My husband would like an aspect/focal wall, but I am not sure about this. Thank you soo much as I am at a loss as to what to do.

The drapery fabric looks orange on my computer, but you say they are a medium tan. Not sure how close the living room is to your dining room? The accent pillows look plum, correct? And the sofa fabric appears black and tan, correct? If all that is true, how about using a plum on the walls? What Color should I Paint My Walls

But all in all, I would go with a cool color to complement all the warm wood tones in the room, and if you don't plan on it already, I would hang a big gorgeous chandelier from that gorgeous cathedral ceiling.
