What height should I hang my chandelier?

I'm hanging a chandelier over my dining room table and I'm not sure what the proper height should be? Thanks.

Hi annette, welcome to the interior decorating forum.
The correct height to hang a chandelier or lighting fixture should be 30" above the table measuring from the bottom of the fixture to the top of the table. hope that helps, thanks for asking.
