What To Do My Awkward Room?

I have two living room type areas, one that is smaller that is near a bar that connects to the kitchen the 2nd room has the dining table in, the two rooms are separated by a partition wall. The room that is near the kitchen with a bar, has another dining room table and we never use, so I want to do something with that space, but cant really afford new furniture.

I would get rid of the dining table in front of the sliding door and make that a living area. Put a sofa and a couple of chairs, an areas rug, coffee table, side table with a lamp, hang some art on the walls and there you have it . No need for two tables and a counter. Oh, and while your at it, why not add a pretty paint color to your walls? Hope that helps. Thanks Martina.
